Built: George Benson 1911

We recently did some remedial work on this 1911 George Benson (Manchester) organ. The primary action was electrified, with a Peterson diode switching system fitted. It hasn’t given a day’s trouble since!

Consultant was Prof. Gerard Gillen (Professor at Maynooth College and Titular organist at Pro-Cathedral, Dublin). There is an audio track available here of this organ; Vierne played by Tristan Russcher. It shows off the gorgeous strings and foundation stops very nicely.
